We found the practice had suitable arrangement in place for the obtaining and recording of consent for treatment from patients who used the service.

One patient told us; “The practice meets my needs and responds to my needs. They are very professional and my dentist is very patient centred. They take time to explain treatments, I know exactly what I’m having done."

We saw there was emergency equipment on the premises such as a defibrillator and oxygen.

We looked at ten patients’ records which consisted of both electronic and paper format. We saw alerts were highlighted to raise awareness of medical conditions, medications and any allergies to minimise the risk of harm to patients.

One patient told us; “I have recommended them to family and friends, I think that highly of the service.”

We found there were effective systems in place to reduce the risk of infection.

We looked at eight staff personnel files and found they had received appropriate training to undertake their roles and responsibilities and also maintain their continued professional development (CPD).

We saw there were robust systems in place to monitor the quality and effectiveness of the service provided for patients.
