28th January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We carried out this inspection to check on the care and welfare of people who used this service.

During the inspection, we spoke with the registered manager, two radiographers and one person who used the service

After the inspection, we spoke with three people who used the service.

We found that the provider obtained consent from people who used the service in relation to their care and treatment.

We found that people’s care and treatment needs were met.

Everybody we spoke with told us they were impressed with the service they had received. One person told us: “I would recommend this service to anyone. It has been absolutely first class”.

We found that people were cared for by staff who were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard.

We saw that the provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.

26th February 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We carried out this inspection to check on the care and welfare of people using this service. To ensure that we had time to see and speak to the provider, as well as people visiting the service we arranged the visit in advance.

On the day of the inspection we spoke with the registered manager and other staff members. We also spoke with one person using the service on the day. Following the inspection we contacted two people who had had appointments at the clinic prior to the inspection.

People we spoke with told us that they were happy with the standard of care provided and had been fully informed of what to expect from the treatment they received.

We read comments from a questionnaire completed by a person who had used the service which read, “I would like to say that all the staff from reception to radiographers have been excellent throughout”.

Staff we spoke with told us they had appropriate training to undertake their work competently and to keep people safe.

We found that appropriate recruitment and selection procedures had been undertaken by the service.

We found that there was a system for ensuring the complaints were dealt with effectively.

We found that CancerPartners UK Image Guided Radiotherapy Centre - Little Aston was compliant in the five outcome areas.
