26th April 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

The practice was recently awarded the British Dental Association (BDA) Good Practice Award. In addition the practice issued their own satisfaction surveys to patients on a quarterly basis. We saw recent feedback from 30 patients for the period of January to March 2013. All stated that they had understood their treatment plans and were satisfied with the quality of care they received. This demonstrated that the quality of the provider’s service was monitored and that the views of patients were sought to identify areas for improvement.

There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. On the day of the inspection the practice appeared clean and well maintained. One patient who regularly used the practice regularly told us that the environment was ‘’always clean, bright and fresh’’.

Staff received appropriate professional development. They received regular training and annual appraisals. There was a clear induction process for new staff to follow.
