People expressed their views and were involved in making decisions about their treatment. We saw people had treatment plans which they had signed, consenting to receive the treatment they required. People we spoke with made positive comments regarding the service they received. One person said “my dentist is absolutely fantastic and I don’t want to change him. He is very caring and couldn’t be better. They always let me know my treatment costs.” Another person told us “my dentist is very nice and helpful. I’m very lucky.”

We found that discussions about treatments were held in private, to ensure people’s privacy was respected.

People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening. There was a safeguarding policy in place for the protection of vulnerable children and adults.

The provider had taken steps to ensure there were effective systems in place to assess the risk and control the spread of health care associated infection.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of services people received. We saw people had written positive comments on the surveys they had recently completed. These included “I am very pleased with all of the treatment that I have received and have no hesitation in recommending it to anybody,” and “the treatment to date has been excellent, my dentist is a very good dentist."
