24th September 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with five people who used the service and they all said they were happy with the care and treatment they had received at the dental practice.

We received the following comments:

“You are always given options of what you want to do.”

“They definitely take time to listen.”

“It’s a very friendly practice. Everyone is polite and courteous.”

“I would never go anywhere else. They really put you at ease.”

“I’ve had quite a lot of work done. The dentist and the hygienist are very gentle; I hardly ever feel a thing.”

“They are 100%. I couldn’t fault them.”

“They provide very good care. I was petrified of dentists but I’m not since coming here. They really make you feel at ease.”

One person talked about recent problems they had experienced with their teeth and said they had discussed these at great length with the dentist. They said, “He’s very professional with high standards and understands his patient’s needs.”

Patient surveys showed there was a high level of satisfaction with the practice.

We spoke with the dentist, a dental hygienist, the practice manager and a receptionist. They told us people received good care and treatment, and their needs were appropriately met. Staff told us people were involved in the planning of their treatment and good systems were in place to make sure people’s privacy, dignity, and confidentially were maintained.
