24th February 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

Patients were treated with respect and understood the treatment options available to them. People told us, "The dentist is fantastic", and "It's excellent".

Patients were able to choose appointment times that suited their needs. We saw that patients were given appropriate information regarding their treatment plan.

There were appropriate arrangements in place to deal with foreseeable emergencies.

Patients who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse because the provider had taken reasonable steps to idenify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.

There were effective infection control processes in place and people were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment. Tools used in dental treatment were decontaminated in accodance with approved guidelines. Equipment was checked daily and maintained in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines.

Patients were able to give their views on how the service was run. The provider had effective systems in place to identify, assess and manage risks associated with the service.
