19th April 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

On the day of the inspection we did not have the opportunity to speak with mothers who had already used the service, but one person waiting for her scan said "I have come on the recommendation of a friend" and she said that the booking process had been smooth.

The provider had systems in place for seeking feedback and we reviewed recent written comments which showed that people were happy with the service provided and that staff had dealt with their needs effectively. One comment was "our sonographer made us feel comfortable and relaxed", and another said the service was "very friendly and informative".

Staff who work at the service were suitably qualified for the work being undertaken. The clinician had been trained in what to do in a medical emergency, for which there was a policy and procedure.
