We spoke with three people who used the service. People told us that the dentist explained the treatment that they required and any costs that were involved. One person told us, “[The dentists] always explain everything. They don’t just do it. They give you time to think about everything.”

Records showed that people's needs were assessed and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual treatment plan.

People were protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had been followed.

A trainee dental nurse explained that the practice manager acted as their mentor in relation to their ongoing studies and that they held classes after work to help and support them through their exams. This meant that staff were enabled to obtain further qualifications appropriate to the work that they performed.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
