30th January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We visited the practice and spoke with two dentists, the dental nurse, the receptionist and three patients who had appointments on the day of our inspection. People told us that they received good treatment at this surgery. One person told us they "couldn't speak highly enough" about the treatment they received. Another person told us that the staff are "very helpful".

We looked around the surgery and found that treatment was carried out in a clean and hygienic environment. We checked recent infection control audits which had not identified any concerns and we looked at the recent cleaning logs and records to ensure that they were complete.

We saw that staff were provided with support to ensure that they have training which was up to date. Staff we spoke with told us that they felt supported by the management of the surgery and that they would be able to raise concerns if they had any. The surgery undertook clinical audits to ensure that they were aware of where improvements could take place. We saw that there was a comments box and people were invited to feedback their experiences to the management.
