3rd April 2013 - During a routine inspection

We saw results of patient surveys all of which had positive things to say about the treatment they received. Some of the comments were as follows;

"made to feel very relaxed and can answer any questions raised which may be of concern".

"Very impressed by my dentist".

"Great dental practice".

"Always a good service from all staff, excellent dentist".

The registered provider and an associate dentist were responsible for the overview of safeguarding procedures in the practice.

On the day of our visit we found surgeries clean and tidy and regular monitoring in place to ensure patient safety in respect of equipment hygiene.

Staff at the practice regularly attended training or accessed on-line training to ensure they maintained their professional development and registration.

There was information available to patients of how and to whom they should refer any complaints should they become dissatisfied with any aspect of their care.

We found that Hoylake Dental Practice had effective processes in place to monitor the quality and standards of care received by patients in the practice.
