6th June 2017 - During a routine inspection
We carried out this announced inspection on 6 June 2017 under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. We planned the inspection to check whether the registered provider was meeting the legal requirements in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated regulations. The inspection was led by a CQC inspector who was supported by a specialist dental adviser.
We told the NHS England area team that we were inspecting the practice. They did not provide any information.
To get to the heart of patients’ experiences of care and treatment, we always ask the following five questions:
• Is it safe?
• Is it effective?
• Is it caring?
• Is it responsive to people’s needs?
• Is it well-led?
These questions form the framework for the areas we look at during the inspection.

Our key findings were:
17th December 2013 - During a routine inspection
We did not speak to people using the service during our inspection, however we reviewed patient comments that had been left on the NHS Choices website and reviewed feedback forms during our inspection. People were happy with the care and treatment they received at Integrity Dental Care. People said "the dentist was very helpful", "I have already recommended this practise to a friend and she is very happy there too", and "friendly and reassuring". We saw that people were provided with sufficient information about the treatments available and their cost. Staff had a good understanding of consent and when it was acceptable to have verbal consent. A dental nurse demonstrated the procedure that they followed when opening the practice, to decontaminating instruments and closing the practice in the evening. The nurse followed a clear process to ensure that clean instruments were not contaminated by dirty ones. The provider carried out a number of audits at the practice. We saw that the provider took steps to use the results of the audits to try and improve the quality of service. Training records showed that staff had completed training in a number of different areas such as oral cancer, legal and ethical issues, and radiography in order to satisfy the requirements for their Continued Professional Development (CPD). Clinical staff also had current registration certificates with the General dental Council (GDC).
