24th January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with four people who were complimentary about the practice. One person stated, “I would strongly recommend the practice.” Another person said, “The treatment’s is great.” Other comments included, “It’s a nice, friendly place to get your teeth done – good work too.”

We were assisted with our inspection by the provider, practice manager and a dental nurse, who was the nominated lead to monitor compliance with our essential standards.

We found that people who used the service were provided with information about the treatments available. One person told us, “They give you some good tips on your oral hygiene. I asked about an electric toothbrush, but they said I was doing fine with my manual toothbrush.”

Treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare. People were complimentary about the treatment they received. They described the treatment as, “excellent” and “good.”

There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. People told us that the practice was, “very clean.”

People were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff. One person told us, “She [dentist’s name] is super.” Another person said, “They’re professional, courteous and they offer that education about dental hygiene.”

There was an effective system in place to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
