People were given appropriate information about the service and the treatment they received. We spoke with three people who used the service who told us they understood the treatment choices available to them. One person told us, "I've had a really positive experience at Kingswalk. The dentist I go to see is excellent. I feel I'm treated very well, she explains all of the procedures I'm going to have done. She'll show me my xraysx-rays and discuss the options of the different treatment plans. The whole thing is very professional." Another person said, "I'm always asked if I have any questions. The dentist I usually see is very clear, and easy to understand."

Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare. People told us they were happy with the care and treatments they had received. One person said, "I'm completely confident that she (The Dentist) is giving me the best treatment. The practice is quite a distance from where I live but it's worth it." Another person said, "It's always been excellent. I couldn't fault them on any level. I've been going there for 14 or 15 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else."

Staff training was kept up to date so that staff could care for people safely and to an appropriate standard. We found people were protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had been followed and there was an effective system in place to monitor and assess the quality of the service.
