10th July 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with five people who visited the practice during this inspection. The majority of people we spoke with had been coming to the same dentist for many years. Everybody we spoke with was extremely positive about the care and the services provided. Their comments included; "I like the dentist he is very thorough and explains everything well." and "11 out of 10, It's so great and not at all rushed, I am given options and have time to decide what is right for me."

People told us they were always asked for either written or verbal consent prior to treatments and they were given the information they required to make informed decisions. The records we saw confirmed this.

People told us they felt safe and we saw that the provider had taken all reasonable steps to ensure that they responded appropriately to any allegations or suspicions of abuse for both adults and children.

People told us the surgery and waiting areas were always clean and tidy. We found that there were systems in place which ensured that the environment was clean and infection risks were appropriately managed.

People told us they would feel confident to make a complaint if the need arose. The provider had a system in place which they had used effectively to attempt to resolve any complaints.
