10th April 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

The registered manager was not available on the day of our visit. We met with one of the partners and spoke with three members of staff. We spoke with five people who used the service and three parents of younger people who used the service.

People told us they received a detailed plan of the treatment proposed. Everyone we spoke with was happy with their treatment. A parent told us they “would recommend it to anybody, we get seen on time and we go”.

All the people we spoke with said their treatment plan was explained at the start and they were told at every visit what to expect. Four of the five people said they had a reasonable idea of when their treatment would finish. The remaining person said it was too early in their treatment to have a clear idea of when it would finish.

The practice was very clean and tidy. All infection control procedures were followed and protective personal equipment was used appropriately.

Staff were well supported in their roles and received opportunities for development. One member of staff told us “we work as a team and I feel valued”.

The practice had a comprehensive complaints policy in place. The people who used the service received information on how to complain with their treatment plan.
