23rd November 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People told us they were very happy with the standard of care they received at this practice. One person who had been attending the practice for many years told us that although they had now moved out of the area they would not change practice and have continued to travel to this practice.

The practice is located on the ground floor and has a reception area, waiting room, three surgeries, an x-ray area, kitchen and cloakroom/toilet. Along with the principle dentists there were three other part time dentists and a hygienist. There were two dental nurses and two receptionists employed by the practice. There was a practice manager who was employed by the service.

We were told by the practice manager that the dentists, and practice staff were registered with the General Dental Council and had regular updates and learning opportunities that kept them up to date with current guidance that supported safe practice.

All the surgeries were in use on the day of our visit and the practice was busy throughout the visit. We spoke to five members of staff, they told us about the training they received, how they implemented infection control and how they all worked together to make sure people were happy with the treatment they received.

We spoke to three people who used the service who told us they would not consider going anywhere else because they have always had a first class service from all the staff and dentists working at this practice.
