8th September 2014 - During an inspection in response to concerns pdf icon

We carried out an unannounced inspection of Liverpool Dental Spa in response to concerns that had been received regarding the cleanliness of the treatment rooms within the practice.

At our inspection we found that all treatment areas and waiting room areas were clean and tidy. The practice was following all guidelines set out by the Department of Health guidance on decontamination in primary care dental practices 2013.

5th September 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our visit we spoke with three people who used the service who told us they were happy with the care and treatment they had received at Liverpool Dental Spa and reviewed recent comments cards and feedback. Comments included:

“I’ve been coming for 12 months now and I’ve got no worries about the service. Staff are really supportive and always explain what they’re doing”.

“Staff are very caring”.

“You have all been fantastic – professional treatment, calming advice”.

People who used the service were given clear information about the treatment they would receive and how much it would cost. We saw that treatment rooms, the decontamination room, waiting area and other communal areas were clean and tidy. There were suitable arrangements in place to deal with foreseeable emergencies and all staff had been provided with suitable training and support with which to undertake their roles and responsibilities. A system was in place to ensure people’s complaints were fully investigated and resolved, where possible, to their satisfaction.
