10th January 2013 - During a routine inspection

People who used the service told us that they were provided with good information about treatment options and the associated costs and were able to ask all the questions if they needed any further information.

People told us they felt they had enough time and information to make decisions about their treatments. Comments included; "The dentist always explains to me what treatment I need, I trust him", "They put me at ease, it’s a relaxing atmosphere” and "it’s sometimes difficult to get through to get an appointment, but when I do they are very accommodating". One person said “I always get an appointment and what’s best is that they normally keep to time”. People told us that staff were "Friendly" "Professional" and "Kind” and “Polite".

The provider’s recent (2012) patient survey showed that people were very satisfied with the service. Comments included, “Fantastic surgery and staff can’t rate them highly enough” and “As always, I wouldn’t think of going any where else”.

People said they were treated with respect. One person told us that they thought the service was "Excellent" whilst another person said "I have been coming here for years and have had no problems with this practice".

People said that the appointment system worked well and that the service was clean and comfortable.

People said that they felt safe and well looked after and if they had any concerns they would have no hesitation about speaking to the dentist.
