23rd May 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

The dental practice consists of one dentist and one practice manager. We spoke to both members of staff during our visit. The practice manager told us that they enjoyed working at the practice as they pride themselves on offering quality dental care.

We spoke to five people who used the service and they all told us that they were very happy with the dental care that they received. Two people told us; "We've been coming here for over 40 years and we have stayed with it because the care is so good." Another person said; "They will always fit you in if you've got tooth ache."

We looked at the cleanliness and decontamination processes at the surgery and found that it was very clean and well maintained. The decontamination room met all of the good practice guidelines relating to dental surgeries.

We spoke to the practice manager and saw that they had received sufficient training in order to do their job safely.

We looked for the complaints procedure and saw that it was on display in the waiting room and that no complaints had been made.
