14th February 2019 - During a routine inspection
About the service: Maids Care CIC is a domiciliary care agency, which provides personal care to people living in their own homes. A community interest company (CIC), is a limited company which operates to provide a benefit to the community they serve. At the time of the inspection, the agency was providing support to 17 people. People’s experience of using this service: • People provided positive feedback about the care, staff and management. • The service was underpinned by a strong value base. This meant people received a person-centred service focussed on ensuring they lived the best possible life. • There was a positive workplace culture. Staff were committed to and excited about their roles and spoke highly of the service and the management team. • Staff received high quality support and training. • People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice. • People were protected against avoidable harm, abuse, neglect and discrimination. The care they received was safe • People’s risks were assessed and strategies put in place to protect them from avoidable harm. • Support plans provided information for staff on all aspects of people’s health and personal care needs. Staff knew people well and understood how they needed to be supported. • People’s end of life wishes were recorded and respected. • The management team were committed to continuing to learn and improve the quality and safety of the service provided, for the benefit of the people they supported and their local community. • The service met the characteristics for a rating of "good" in all the key questions we inspected. Therefore, our overall rating for the service after this inspection was "good". More information is in the full report. Rating at last inspection: This was the first inspection of the service since it was registered on 22 February 2018. Why we inspected: This was a scheduled/planned inspection.
