17th December 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We met seven people attending appointments and with their permission, we accompanied two people during their consultation and treatment. All spoke positively about the service. One person told us that their dentist, “Talks to you, very smiley, kind and very gentle.” Another person told us, “I lost a filling and they saw me the same day.”

People told us they felt respected by staff and were fully involved in the decisions about their dental care and treatment. One person referred to the “Excellent customer service” whilst another person told us that they found the staff always to be, “Very friendly, very courteous and attentive.”

We were told that staff individually discussed with people how much their treatment would cost. One person told us that staff, “Always let you know the cost, you get given a form” with all the costs set out.

When we asked people if they would recommend the service to others they said they would. One person told us, “Yes, in fact I have.”

People all spoke highly of the standard of dental treatment they received. One person told us, “I really can’t fault it.”

We observed that the reception and clinical areas were clean and tidy. As we gave short notice of our inspection, we asked people if they always found it to be of the same standard. They told us it did. One person told us, “It’s always this clean.”
