This is a condition which occurs when a nerve, from the forearm, becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist. This service offers assessment advice, investigation and necessary treatment on behalf of local clinical commissioning groups.

The patient health records were not held by Matrix Health Services Limited at their headquarters as they were kept within the NHS system. Administration staff at Matrix did however have limited access to electronic patient records for the purposes of arranging appointments before and after surgery. The nominated consultant completed the documentation and patient records in line with the service.

The service worked collaboratively with other statutory health care agencies.

The provider, Matrix Health Services UK Limited employed a range of healthcare professionals who provided the assessment and treatment of people who used the service.

We saw that the provider had a system in place for the quality checking of systems to manage risks and assure the health, welfare and safety of people who receive care were being met. The provider also responded to any complaints they received.

There was an effective complaints system available and people were given information about how to make a complaint or raise concerns. Although there was no ongoing concerns staff were confident that they would deal with any in line with their policies and procedures.
