Following our inspection of the service we spoke with two people by telephone who had received treatment at the practice on the day of our visit.

The people we spoke with were very complimentary about the service and treatment they had received at Mid Essex Dental and would recommend the practice to family and friends. Comments included: "They are all very friendly. The dentist is very gentle and I am very happy with the service I receive” and “I am more than happy with my treatment. The staff are very helpful and informative. I am an anxious person but the dentist is lovely and always very reassuring and informs me every step of the way.”

People told us that they were provided with information about their treatment in a way that they could understand and this included treatment options and related costs.

We found that the surgery was clean and tidy and that staff understood the cleaning procedures to be followed. The people we spoke with told us that the surgery was always clean when they visited the practice. We saw that there were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of cross infection.

We found that the staff were appropriately trained and supported and that the provider had systems in place to ensure the quality and safety of the service delivered.
