14th March 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People told us they had been coming to the practice for many years and some" were now bring their grandchildren" . They told us that the care given by the practice had been second to none. Dr Bigg had always gone out of his way to reduce any suffering they had. One person told us that he even opened up his surgery late on Christmas Eve to treat her son who was in a lot of pain. People told us that they were given information prior to and following their treatment. Information about the costs and possible treatment options was made available. A range of information leaflets were available for them to take away. The hygienist provided people with information as to how to maintain healthy teeth and gums. The practice had its own newsletter which it sent out to all its patients providing them with both general information and clinical information regarding healthy teeth. Information could also be found on their website. People told us that the surgery was always spotless and they were aware that it was cleaned between each treatment. Treatment was given in private with only those needing to be in the room present.
