21st March 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with seven people who told us that that they were very happy with the care and treatment that they received from dentists and nurses. People said they did not have any complaints or concerns, that staff treated them well and that treatments were always explained to them in a way that they could understand. Comments included, “You can’t fault the service.” “It’s always lovely and clean.” “The service is great.”

We looked at four people’s records which were very detailed in respect of the dental assessments and treatments offered to patients and showed us that all treatments and options were discussed with patients so that they could make informed decisions about their treatment.

Staff were trained and skilled to carry out their work and to protect people from the risk of abuse.

The practice was clean and there were systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infections.

The provider had systems in place to assess, monitor and improve the service.
