23rd December 2013 - During a routine inspection
We spoke with three people using the service and two of the staff, including the dentist and the dental nurse who also covered the reception. People said treatments options were explained to them and the dentist would always recommend treatment that was essential, so they knew what really needed to be done. They told us they were happy with the care and treatment they received and staff treated them in a polite and respectful way. The service was clean and procedures were in place for infection control, which were being followed. The service was staffed appropriately to meet the needs of the people who used it. People said they would be able to raise any concerns they might have with the dentist so they could be addressed. Comments received from people about the service and the staff included, “we feel comfortable coming here”, “An excellent dentist I would recommend to everyone” and “very happy and very grateful. The dentist is excellent, very personable, and so is the nurse.”
