6th August 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with three people using the service. Two people said that they “rarely saw the same dentist twice”. All three said that the dentists and other staff were considerate and always gave them the information they needed about treatment options. One told us that more clarity was needed on what was included within the standard NHS charging bands.

They told us that the service was clean and the dentists and staff always wore personal protective equipment.

13th March 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with four people using the service. Three of these were satisfied with the treatment provided. One person told us, “You never get seen on time.” One person had chosen this dentist because their ex-partner had received a good service there. They told us, “Staff at reception were exceptional when she was scared.” One person we spoke with had not been satisfied with their previous appointment. They told us, “One of the dentists here nearly butchered me last time I came, so I changed dentist.”

People told us they were given the right information about treatment and options. They were given information verbally. The people we spoke with could not remember having been asked for their views about the service before our visit.

We spoke with two people using the service about infection control. One told us they thought the service was clean. The other person told us they would give it, "Six out of ten." for cleanliness.
