26th February 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

Everyone we spoke with talked positively about the staff and felt they supported their needs. People told us staff spoke with them in a calm and respectful manner. One person said, "Staff explain everything to me."

The people we spoke with told us their care was personalised to their needs. They told us they were given options about treatment and informed of any fees to pay. One person said, "I am always given the charges." Another person told us, "We changed to this practice as my family member felt more at ease here."

People told us they were happy with the cleanliness of the premises and with the staff. One person told us, "Staff always wear protective clothing."

They told us staff gave them alternatives to treatment and knew what they could offer. The people we spoke with told us no appointments had been cancelled because of staff shortages. One person said, "From the moment I walk in staff are pleasant and appear to know a lot about the services they can provide."

People we spoke with were aware of the complaints process and told us they were confident staff would handle any concerns promptly. One person told us, "I have not had to complain."
