22nd January 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People told us they were treated with respect and dignity. One person told us “the staff are very friendly and caring.” People told us that treatment options were clearly explained to them, and that they were able to ask questions. We found that people were able to have confidential discussions in private. We found that treatment plans were in place which included details of any fees payable. People said they consented to treatments before they were performed.

We found that the service was clean, and that suitable arrangements were in place for cleaning and sterilising dental equipment. One person said the treatment room had “always been spotless.” People told us they felt safe that there were always two members of staff present in the treatment room. We found that dental staff had access to on-going Continuing Professional Development.
