23rd October 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We invited patients to speak to us about their experiences. The practice also assisted with this during our visit. Despite this, only one patient was willing to speak with us. This person confirmed that they were very happy with the service provided and felt that treatment was done safely. They confirmed that all areas were clean and hygienic and that they had no complaints. We looked at reviews on the NHS website of the service as well as patient satisfaction questionnaires. Comments were positive about the treatment received. Where concerns were raised, these were responded to by the practice manager.

This visit found the care and welfare of people was promoted with patients being able to influence their treatment. We found that the service had systems in place to ensure that vulnerable adults and children were protected from harm. Treatment was provided in clean and hygienic facilities with checks in place to ensure that this level of hygiene continued.

We found that staff were supported in their role and were encouraged to develop their own professional practice. Information was available for patients to make complaints and where complaints were made, we saw evidence that these were listened to, responded to and investigated in a timely manner.
