14th November 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke to four people who were visiting the practice for examination and/or treatment. People we spoke to were complementary about the staff and the practice. Comments included, “no complaints”, “they’re all good”, “I’ve got nothing negative to say” and “always clean; staff always very very friendly”.

We found that people’s views and experiences were taken into account in the way the service was provided and delivered in relation to their care. People’s privacy, dignity and independence were respected.

People experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights.

People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.

People were cared for by staff who were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard.

However, we found, people were not protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had not been followed.
