27th January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our inspection we spoke with five patients. We spoke with six members of staff; these were the registered provider, the practice manager, the clinical and business manager, two dentists and a dental nurse.

We also took information from other sources to help us understand the views of patients who used the service, which included a patient satisfaction survey and staff meeting minutes.

The patients we spoke with told us they thought they received good dental treatment from the dentists. One patient told us “I’m more than happy with my dentist”. Another patient told us “I’ve been blessed to come here. For me it is very good”.

There were appropriate systems in place in respect to the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children. The practice was also following published guidance in relation to infection control and the staff were well trained and supported.

The practice had systems in place to assess and monitor the quality and safety of the service and to make changes when necessary.
