2nd July 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our inspection we talked to two people who were attending the dental practice for treatment or examination. We also spoke with the receptionist, the practice dentist and one dental nurse.

People told us that the reception staff were friendly and polite and that it was easy to get appointments.

One person told us that the practice is “very good, great”. We were told that the dentist explained treatment options. One person told us that they were a very nervous patient, and explained that the dentist put him at ease, through clear explanation of treatment.

One person told us that “they are well pleased with everything, very impressed”. We were told that the dentist had a person centred approach. One comment included “well explained and in a nice manner”.

People we spoke to told us that if they had a complaint or concern they would raise it directly with the receptionist or the dentist.

Both people told us that the treatment costs could be managed through personal dental plans. One person told us that they were very impressed with the payment scheme.
