We visited the Orthodontic Clinic to look at the care and treatment provided to people who used the service. During our inspection we spoke with six people and five of the staff. We observed a treatment session and looked at five patient files.

People we spoke with were very happy with the service. One person told us “It’s fantastic here, they are very efficient, and if we need an appointment we get one.” Another person said “It’s really nice here; I think staff are really friendly and the place is comfortable, and clean.” A third person told us “It is very good here. They are very organised and clearly explained to us what they can and can’t do with regards to treatments.”

People told us that they felt respected by staff, and were able to take part in decisions about their treatment.

People told us that their treatment plans contained details of the treatment proposed, and they had signed to say they agreed. Medical histories were reviewed before treatment was given. People said they were able to get appointments when they needed them.

The people we spoke with told us they felt safe with the staff.
