30th July 2012 - During an inspection to make sure that the improvements required had been made pdf icon

We carried out an inspection of Par River Dental Practice on 30 July 2012 to follow up on previous compliance actions that had been made in February 2012.

During our inspection we met with two people who had come for examination or treatment. Comments included, “the dentist always remembers everybody’s name and always remembers the previous appointment”. “if you ever have to re-arrange there is no problem”. “You feel in control”. “Always stress free, that’s why I come” and “I have recommended the dentist to a lot of friends, who don’t like going to the dentist”.

26th March 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We met with five people who had come for examination or treatment. They were all very positive in their comments, and very appreciative of the care and treatment they had received.

Two people said that they had been disappointed that the practice could no longer offer treatment under the NHS, so it was more expensive, but they did not have any intention of looking for another dentist. “All good, I wouldn’t go anywhere else,” said one person awaiting treatment.

Another person said, “I’ve been dealt with quite satisfactorily.”

One person told us they had been well informed about their problem and about treatments and offered a choice of crowns.

One person described the practice as “Good as gold.” They needed quick treatment and were not disappointed.

One person told us they had been very pleased when Mr Gedah had come in on a Saturday when they had been in pain and needed treatment.

This practice is on the first floor. There is a stair-lift. There is a waiting area and toilet upstairs and access to a disabled toilet on the ground floor. There are two treatment rooms and an office.
