20th February 2012 - During a routine inspection

People who used the service told us they were happy with the treatment provided at Parkfield Dental Surgery. They told us staff were helpful and polite. One person said “They are really friendly, efficient and helpful”.

People we spoke with told us they were given clear explanations about what treatment they required and knew what to expect. They told us the dentist was clear about what fees they needed to pay and if they were receiving a course of treatment they would be given a treatment plan.

We observed a person who received treatment by one of the dentists at Parkfield Dental Surgery. We observed how the dental staff interacted with the person. The dentist gave clear explanations of the treatment provided and why it was necessary. The dentist and dental nurse were respectful and the person appeared relaxed whilst they received their treatment.
