9th January 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with three of patients who used the service. They told us they were very satisfied with the care and treatment provided at the clinic. Patients said “I have received treatment at this clinic before, the doctor and nurse always involve me in decisions about my treatment and they are always professional.” One patient said “The service is excellent, my appointments are always on time and the staff are always friendly.”

Evidence showed patients were protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had been followed. Patients we spoke with told us the clinic was very clean and staff always wore protective clothing when treating them.

Staff received appropriate professional development. A training programme was in place to provide staff with the training and support they needed to maintain their qualifications. Patients we spoke with told us staff were always polite and respectful and provided an excellent standard of care.

The clinic had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that patients received. There was evidence learning from incidents and investigations took place and appropriate changes were implemented. The practice had a complaints policy and took account of complaints and comments to improve the service.
