24th April 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

On the day of our inspection no-one was using the service. However, we saw from the practice’s comments book that people were satisfied with the service they received. Their comments included, “they explained everything in detail. I am very grateful for the service I received” and “he has saved my teeth”. Another person wrote, “he is very skilled, experienced and always full of suggestions and explanations.”

People received individualised care and had individual treatment plans. The plans we saw outlined what the treatment would involve, any follow up appointments required and the cost of the treatment.

Staff were knowledgeable in local safeguarding children and vulnerable adult procedures and were able to recognise signs of abuse. At the time of our inspection no safeguarding concerns had been raised.

The practice was visually clean and staff demonstrated effective decontamination procedures.

Staff felt well supported and received ongoing training. There were regular staff appraisal processes in place.

The complaints procedure was displayed in the waiting room and staff told us they were confident about how they would deal with any complaints. At the time of our inspection no complaints had been received.
