17th December 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with three people who told us that the dentists explained treatment options to them and the benefits and risks of each option. One person told us, "They explained it very well."

People told us that they were very happy with the treatment they received. One person said, "I am very happy. I would recommend my children to come here."

On the day of our inspection the service's premises were clean and bright. We looked at each of the treatment rooms. We saw that these were spotlessly clean and dust free.

We saw records that showed that the dentists, the dental hygienists and the dental nurses completed the required amount of continuous professional development (CPD) for their own professional registration. We saw that the service had an appraisal system in place for the dental practitioners.

We saw that the provider had completed a survey of people who used the service in July 2013. We looked at a sample of the 40 questionnaires that had been returned. We saw that all of the responses had been very positive. Comments made by people included, "...friendly and efficient" and "...I would certainly recommend this practice".
