Each person using the service had an electronic record which contained details about their current needs and medical history. People’s views about their care were taken into account. One person said "They explain the options very well. I was told about the risks and costs and was also asked to sign a consent form." Another person told us that the process in place to discuss treatment options provided a "good basis for us to work together."

We saw that the practice had effective recruitment processes in place and carried out appropriate checks before people started work. This meant that people were cared for by suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff.

We found that the provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received. This included collecting information from staff and people who used the service. There were also processes in place for the effective decontamination of equipment. Members of staff followed the practice's infection control policies.
