6th March 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our inspection of Potton Dental Practice on 6 March 2013 we found the practice was very clean, welcoming and displayed clear information for people.

Two dentists, two dental nurses and two reception staff worked in the practice and we observed a very friendly approach with people when they attended. We saw people were treated respectfully, and interactions between staff and people attending were positive and professional.

We spoke with four people who used the service, all of whom told us they were very happy with the care provided to them. Most people said they had used the service for a number of years, but one person had joined the practice the previous week. This person said that the staff in the practice had been very accommodating and had arranged to see them quickly as an emergency appointment. They also told us they were happy with the care provided.

Clear information was displayed within the waiting area, which included guidance on dental charges, how people should raise a concern or make a complaint, emergency procedures, as well as health promotion.

The practice operated on the ground floor allowing easy access for anyone using the service.
