Background

Premier Dental Care is a dental practice providing private and NHS treatment for both adults and children. The practice is based in the ground floor of a building in Addlestone, Surrey which is very close to the train station. The practice has two dental treatment rooms. There is no separate decontamination facility used for cleaning, sterilising and packing dental instruments. The practice is accessible to wheelchair users, prams and patients with limited mobility. The practice employs two dentists, two dental nurses, one trainee dental nurse and one practice manager / receptionist. The practice’s opening hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:00. They close for lunch between 13.00 -14.00. Patients are advised to contact 111 out of hours if they require urgent dental assistance.

The practice is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as a partnership, Dr Farnaz Mirsiaghi and Dr Massod Mousavi. They are ‘registered persons’. Registered persons have legal responsibility for meeting the requirements in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated Regulations about how the practice is run.

Miss Sharnam Abassalty is the registered manager. A registered manager is a person who is registered with the Care Quality Commission to manage the service. Like registered providers, they are ‘registered persons’. • Infection control procedures were of a high standard and the practice followed published guidance.

• The registered manager acted as the safeguarding lead with effective processes for safeguarding adults and children living in vulnerable circumstances.
