7th August 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our visit we spoke to four patients, one dental nurse, a dental hygienist, the dentist and the practice manager. One person said; “Since being at the practice I have never had any cause to complain. The staff are very professional in how they have looked after my family and me. Well done and keep the good work up”.

Patients we spoke with told us they were satisfied with the information they received. One person told us they had every step of their treatment explained throughout.

We observed that care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people’s safety and welfare. A patient told us they thought their dentist had a very caring approach.

There were arrangements in place to deal with foreseeable emergencies and effective infection control systems were maintained to reduce the risk and spread of infection.

There were enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs. A patient told us; “The staff are always pleasant and polite”.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive. Results from the 2012 patient satisfaction audit indicated consistent and high satisfaction. One comment made by a patient included; "Friendly, knowledgeable, calming and professional”.
