2nd August 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our visit we spoke with five members of staff and contacted two people who use the service following the visit. People we spoke with told us that they had received enough information to help them make informed decisions about consenting to treatment. One person said, "I was told what could be done and what would be involved".

We saw that there were arrangements in place to deal with foreseeable emergencies and that robust infection prevention and control procedures were followed to minimise the risk of cross infection. People we spoke with commented positively on the cleanliness of the practice. One person said, "Feels very hygienic".

Patient satisfaction surveys, comments and suggestion forms were available for people to complete. The provider took account of complaints and comments to improve the service and documents evidenced that previous complaints had driven change in processes used by the practice. Regular audits were conducted on the equipment in the practice with equipment tested and serviced in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines.
