29th October 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We observed staff speaking with people who used the service and they explained how consent would be needed and what treatment was to take place. We spoke with four people who used the service and a relative who told us they were happy with the care and treatment offered. People were positive about the dental practice and the treatment received, confirming they were fully involved in the process.

Comments included, “The staff are always polite and courteous”, “I came to this practice from another one and I was seen within 3 months – I am really happy with the results.” Prior to receiving treatment, patients completed a medical history form and a standard NHS form (FP17DC) which was signed by the patient confirming consent was in place.
