17th December 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our inspection we spoke with three people using the service, the provider and four staff including the manager, a dentist, a dental nurse and a receptionist. People told us they had no concerns and were satisfied with the service provided. One person said "I have been coming here many years, I have no complaints." Another said "I can't praise them enough, the treatment is second to none."

People said they were given the necessary information to make informed decisions about their treatment. Comments included "they always explain all procedures" and "I'm never left wondering about anything."

People's safety and welfare were taken into consideration at all stages of their treatment, including a full medical history before treatment commenced and procedures to deal with emergency situations.

The service was clean, hygienic and infection control guidelines were being followed by staff.

The service had enough staff with the appropriate skills and knowledge to meet the needs of people using it, and effective systems were in place to monitor the quality of service provision.
