We met with two staff and reviewed the responses provided by service users in the completed satisfaction surveys.

We saw that the clinic was well maintained and the equipment was in good order and serviced in accordance with guidance.

People who had used the service reported that they found staff "very professional and friendly". Another person said "all staff were excellent, everything was well explained at every step. I felt well cared for and had complete confidence in the whole team". One person said that they "couldn't fault" the service they received.

We were told that the clinic is used when people with decompression illness from sea diving contacted the clinic and that they could be seen quickly for treatment. We were told that people attending the clinic were not seriously unwell but we saw that there were facilities in place, and staff were trained, to manage medical emergencies.

We saw that there were arrangements in place to involve the service user in their treatment as far as possible and that consent was obtained prior to treatment.

We observed staff talking about the service in a professional and knowledgable way.

There were arrangements and assurances in place to ensure that quality and safety outcomes were reviewed.
