15th March 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our inspection visit to this dental surgery we spoke with both of the dentists and three dental nurses. In order to gain the experiences of people who used the service we also spoke with five people following our inspection visit by telephone.

People we spoke with were satisfied with the service they received, and told us that they were involved in their treatment planning. They told us, "I'm very happy with the treatment I get" and "X (the dentist) discusses and explains absolutely everything."

People told us they would recommend the practice to other people, making comments such as, "I recommended them about a month ago to a friend" and "I would definitely recommend them to people."

People told us that they were satisfied with the cleanliness and hygiene of the surgery. "Extremely good hygiene", "It's immaculate" and "Everything always looks clean and tidy" were comments made. Where we identified that infection control was compromised, the practice took immediate action to rectify this.

We found that records containing people's confidential information was accurate, fit for purpose and stored securely.
