15th August 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We found that people using the service were supported to make informed decisions about the treatment they received. Their oral health needs were thoroughly assessed and they were fully involved in how their treatment was planned and delivered.

People told us they were very pleased with the way they were treated and spoke highly of the dental team. They said, “The staff are brilliant, very efficient and professional”; “I see the same dentist. He always explains what he’s doing and why”; and, “All the family use the practice. We feel relaxed and comfortable”.

People were cared for by dental professionals who kept their knowledge and skills up to date and advanced their areas of expertise.

Robust systems were in place to control the risk of infection and make sure all care and treatment was provided in a hygienic environment.

There was a clear procedure for managing any complaints that were made about the service.
