10th July 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People who used this practice told us that they were very happy with the service provided. We saw that people's treatment plans were discussed with them including the costs of their treatment and these were recorded.

All patients spoke positively about their care and treatment. Comments included, "Excellent care", "the dentist always explain my treatment", "the staff are polite, kind and caring”, "I am very happy with the care provided",“superb and exceptional care”.

We found that staff had attended training in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. We also saw records which confirmed that staff employed by the practice had criminal record checks.

We found that people who used the practice were protected from the risk of infection. People we spoke with said that always found that the practice was cleaned to a good standard. One person said” The practice is spotless”.

People were cared for by staff who were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard. We found that staff were appraised and they attended a range of training and development.

We found that the provider had effective systems in place to assess and monitor the quality of the service. People who used the practice were made aware of the complaints system and they had their comments and complaints listened to.
